Babies
6 weeks - 2 years
Our Baby program provides a safe, comforting space where infants can explore and begin to develop trust and communication through gentle care, sensory play, and close, consistent relationships with our educators. We focus on creating a nurturing environment that encourages curiosity, early movement, and social bonding.
Cradle (Birth to 12 Months)
Key focus areas:
Sensory play and brain development
- Activities to stimulate neural connections and support cognitive growth.
- Use of sensory-rich materials to encourage exploration and curiosity.
Motor Skills and Physical Development:
- Tummy time, guided movement, and opportunities to roll, grasp, and reach.
- Safe, uncluttered spaces for free movement.
Social-emotional development:
- Building trust through consistent, nurturing relationships.
- Developing attachment and a sense of security.
Language development
- Engaging infants through songs, rhymes, and rich dialogue.
- Supporting early communication through non-verbal cues and imitation.
Walkers (12 Months to 2 Years)
Key focus areas:
Gross motor skills and physical activity
- Encouraging walking, climbing, and balance through active play.
- Strengthening coordination and developing spatial awareness.
Symbolic Play and Cognitive Growth:
- Activities that introduce object permanence and cause-effect relationships.
- Exploring how toys and objects represent real-world items.
Social-emotional skills:
- Building independence while learning to interact with peers.
- Developing emotional regulation through nurturing support.
Early language development
- Use of books for storytelling and conversations.
- Encouraging self-expression through imitation and gestures.
Toddlers
2 - 3 years
The Toddler stage is all about discovery and independence. At Emali, our Toddler program supports children as they learn to explore, make choices, and interact with others. Through structured play, language development, and activities that promote early coordination, we help toddlers build confidence and resilience in a safe, guided environment.
Forest (2-3 years)
Key focus areas:
Fundamental Movement Skills (FMS):
- Promoting jumping, running, and climbing through outdoor and indoor play.
- Combining structured and unstructured activities to develop physical strength and agility.
Imaginative and Open-Ended Play:
- Providing opportunities for children to explore creativity and curiosity.
- Using dramatic play and role-playing to understand the world.
Social-Emotional Development:
- Recognising and expressing emotions.
- Practicing empathy and cooperation through group interactions.
Cognitive Development:
- Early problem-solving activities like sorting, categorising, and simple puzzles.
- Encouraging curiosity and asking "why" questions to explore their environment.
Pre-kindy
3 - 4 years
Our Pre-Kindy program is designed for children ready to expand their imagination and develop early skills in preparation for Preschool. Shaped by the Government's Flying Start program, our 3-year-old Preschool curriculum provides a focus on cooperative play, creativity, and social-emotional growth, pre-kindy children engage in activities that foster independence, curiosity, and a love of learning.
Ocean (3-4 years)
Key focus areas:
Early Numeracy and Literacy:
- Activities like counting, pattern recognition, and storytelling.
- Introducing pre-writing and pre-reading skills through creative arts and practical life play.
Social Competency and Emotional Maturity:
- Deeper understanding of cooperation, empathy, and group dynamics.

Preschool
4+ years
The Emali Preschool program is tailored to prepare children for the transition to school. Focusing on literacy, numeracy and social skills, our preschool curriculum encourages children to become independent, inquisitive, and confident. With an emphasis on problem-solving, collaboration, practical life play and school readiness, we ensure each child is ready to succeed in their next big adventure.
Safari (4 years)
Key focus areas:
School Readiness:
- Introduction to structured activities that mirror school environments.
- Fostering independence, responsibility, and self-regulation.
